- What is the round port for on the side of the USB Hub used for?
This round port is for providing extra power to the USB hub with an optional (not provided) power adapter. The recommended adapter is 120V input and 5V, 2A output with a jack size of 3.5mm x 1. 35mm x 10mm. When the USB hub is plugged in to a USB port, it can transmit data and provide a slow power charging function to devices plugged into it. Use of the power adapter only will provide fast power charging function to devices, but no data transmission. Use of both the power adapter and the USB plug will provide data transmission and fast power charging of devices plugged into the USB hub.
