The UPLIFT V2-Commercial Frame features a height range of 22.6" - 48.7" with a 1" desktop installed. - How will this desktop hold up?
Laminate is a reliable and sturdy material that holds up well over time. Designed with durability in mind, our laminate options are affordable desktops that allow you to get the look of real wood for a fraction of the price.
- Isn't laminate a little dated?
Although laminate furniture has been around for a few decades, times are changing. We work with our designers to create only the most stylish and eye-catching desktops to pair with your UPLIFT V2 Frame. We exclusively offer Wilsonart certified laminates, which come with some of the most diverse finish options around, so you can pick the exact finish that matches your personality and office style.
- What are these desktops made out of?
The laminate we use is composed of thermally-fused melamine laminate over 45 lb density E-1 rated particle board core, and comes with a 3 mm PCV edge banding for a clean and seamless look around the edges. All of the layers of the are fused under extremely high pressure to form a solid surface that's durable enough to withstand years of work. And at a full inch thick, our desktops are much thicker than the laminate desktop thicknesses offered by our competitors.
- Why isn't my whiteboard desktop erasing completely?
We have found that black dry erase markers tend to perform the best on these desktops. If any residue or ghosting is left behind after erasing the desktop, use Expo White Board Cleaner. If that doesn't remove all of the residue, try 70% isopropyl alcohol. You can also write over the unerased portion with another dry erase marker, let it dry, and then erase it.
- Is this desk suitable for sewing?
Yes, our laminate desks are great for sewing and crafting.
- Can I add my own desktop to this?
Yes, you can install your own desktop to the UPLIFT V2 Frame (pdf).
- Will I need more than one person to put my desk together?
You should be able to assemble the desk frame and attach it to the desktop solo. However, you will need two people to safely turn the desk right-side up after assembly.

Perfect solution
I bought this desk for any of my employees who feel like standing for a while at work. I've had it for about a year now and I couldn't be more happy with my decision to buy this over some other products out there. The motor movement continues to work quickly and smoothly to adjust for different people's height throughout the day. The delivery was quick, setup fairly simple, and overall quality is excellent. There is nothing 'cheap' feeling about this desk. I've tried out some other products and for the price of the Uplift 900, you can't beat it. If you are like it was, and trying to make a decision whether to spend the money on a desk of this type; trust me, you won't be disappointed with this one.
Pros: The motor is quiet and smooth and so far is quite durable. The desktop finish is beautiful and does not scratch easily. Simple, elegant design. The price for the quality is fantastic.
Cons: None after a year of use. -
Great value
This sit/stand desk is about the best price I've seen, yet is a top quality product that I'd compare favorably to others priced well above. I wasn't expecting to have the benefit of 4 separate memory height locations either. It was relatively easy to set up and use. It is nice and stable at any height. I found that even when sitting, I'm much more comfortable than the static height desk I had previously. Who knew what a difference it makes when you can actually tweak the desk height in fractions of an inch. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

Cons: The location of the pre-drilled holes for the height controller is too far to the front for me personally. I would have preferred that you could have the bottom of the controller flush with the edge or even slightly back.

Thank you for your comments, Mike! In response to your feedback about the location of the height control panel, we predrill the holes for easier installation, but if you drill your own holes, you can place the controller anywhere you'd like. -
Annoyed I waited this long to order one!
Ok, I saw this site and company like a year ago and thought to myself, "Hmm, I work on computers all day and then go home and play computer games all night ... I should probably get one of thees and get off my butt at least somewhat!" But I was going back and forth on cost, practicality, need for options, etc etc. Cut the story short, I went ahead and bought myself an early Christmas present and it was the Uplift900 and my god is it worth every penny. I went back and forth between this and the smaller one but opted for the 900 in case I want a larger desk. The 48 is perfect for a 2x24" gaming station. The unit was easy enough to get in the house after I got it off the pallet although the legs and stuff were 70 pounds. The 4 presets are perfect and the action is smooth. The table is very stable and easy to work on and game on. I'm thrilled. My wife laughs at me every time she hears the desk going up and down which is like 8 times a day now but I don't care, I can already feel the difference and I'm thrilled.

WOW!!
After procrastinating for several months even though my Chiropractor kept after me (will I like it as much as I think I might??), I ordered, hoping I had made the right decision. WOW!! I not only like it, I LOVE it...why did I wait sooo long???!! My boss did an excellent job of building it and I'm now enjoying it. I thought it would take a bit to get used to standing for as long as I wanted to but it has not posed a problem...sitting posed more of an issue than standing. Visitors to the office are admiring it =} The electronic feature that raises/lowers it runs quite smoothly and I'm enjoying the monitor arm also. Additionally, the packaging for shipping was sturdy and there were no damages to any piece. Thank you for a quality product!!

Do it!
If you have been thinking about ordering an standing desk do it!. I have had mine for a month now and am standing 3-4 hours a day. You could definitely save money by just buying the base and then buying your own top from IKEA, though the top is very sturdy and appears quite durable. Also, when you do pull the trigger, watch the assembly instruction video.

Thank you so much for making such an awesome desk. I received the UpLift 900 earlier this week, and am amazed with how perfect it is. It's so convenient to be able to just push a button and adjust the height; glad I didn't skimp and get a hand crank unit. The usability and finish detail are excellent.
I was originally concerned about it holding the weigh my desk setup - around 180lbs. At a maximum load rating of 335lbs, your desk seems to be the beefiest on the market in this price range.
As recommended in your manual, I did mount the UpLift 900 legs further to the back of the desk for balance. I then pushed the desk up against the wall for added stability. At 6'3", I have found it very comfortable to walk/work at around 46 inches high (plus the casters). It doesn't seem to wobble unless I intentionally rock it back and forth.
Anyways, the treadmill is a LifeSpan TR1200-DT3. Also, awesome!!! Thank you again for producing this incredible desk!
