F.A.Q.
- Does this move in a fixed height, or can the monitor height be adjusted separately from the worksurface?
The monitor and keyboard tray move in a fixed height along the vertical column of the Winston Sit-Stand Workstation. However, you can place your monitor at any point along the column during assembly.
- Is this workstation electric?
No, this workstation is adjusted manually. For an electric version, you would want to look at the Winston-E.
- Can I assemble this by myself?
While it is possible to assemble this with one person, Winston recommends that you have two people available for when you attach the work surface to the column.
- What makes this item more expensive than the UPLIFT Desk?
We are able to provide competitive pricing on the items we manufacture and produce, like the UPLIFT Desk. We are only a reseller for Innovative so we don't have as much wiggle room as far as pricing goes.
- How do you adjust the height of the Winston Sit-Stand Workstation?
There is a height adjustment button located on the front, right-hand side of the work surface. Press and hold the button to adjust the height of the Winston. Once you reach your desired height, simply release the button and the Winston will lock in place.
- How much does the Winston weigh?
This thing is a beast! The base model, single Winston weighs 84 lbs. The bulk of the weight is in the plate and column of the Innovative Winston Workstation.
- How are the monitors arranged on the three and four monitor stands?
The three and four monitor models place all of the monitors in a row. The peripheral monitors are held at an angle facing inwards.

Excellent Workstation
I had been researching stand-up workstations for a long time when I found the Winston. At the time, it was only available for Pre-Order. After scouring the internet and reading many reviews, I decided to wait for it's release... And so far it has been worth the wait.
I have a built-in desk in my office, so a free-standing stand-up desk was not an option. I needed something that could convert my existing situation into one that I could stand at. The Winston is perfect. It's base is exactly the depth of my desk (30"), and the platform is large enough to fit my keyboard, mouse pad, touch pad, a notebook, and then some. The whole assembly feels incredibly sturdy. There is only a very slight wiggle when I am working on the surface in its elevated position, but it is barely noticeable. This was something that I was very worried about when reading reviews for other systems. Although this system had yet to be reviewed, the way it was designed to function (and look) in comparison to other systems made me feel confident that it would be sturdier.
I ordered the Medium weight assembly for a dual-monitor set-up. I have two Dell UltraSharp 24" monitors (U2414H) and they fit perfectly together on this system. They weigh approximately 8 lbs each. There are two slots for cables at the back of the work surface and keep everything organized and out of the way. Without these there would be cables everywhere.
My only issues so far have been the assembly - it required two people because it is very heavy (a good thing) & a run to the hardware store for a screw with a little extra length because we could not get one of the monitor arm screws to thread properly. Additionally, the work surface is a little difficult to lift up and lower, but perhaps with time and some "breaking in" this will get easier. Ultimately, I would say that having the ability to stand at my desk far outweighs both of these minor issues.
Finally - the system is designed beautifully. It is clean and sleek looking and does not look at all like there is a strange contraption sitting on my desk. Please see the image attached. This system is worth investing in. And the Human Solution website was definitely the right place to order from. Shipping was fast & free, and their online chat service was very helpful
Pros: Very sturdy, high quality materials, nicely designed, large work surface, cable slots keeps everything together, accessory tray was a great idea.
Cons: A little difficult to lift up & down, time-consuming to assemble, LOTS of packaging to discard
