There’s something to be said for wide open spaces. They keep your inner claustrophobe from having a breakdown. Theoretically they’re pretty great for offices, too. Without the walls blocking Pam’s cube, you can just look up from your computer and collaborate with Pam without having to move to a conference room or leaving your desk. Or decorative coffee table. Some offices take the “go big or go home” approach to trends. However, this open layout in an office setting comes with a few drawbacks. For instance, how does one achieve any sort of privacy in a space that’s literally designed to keep everyone out in the open? How do you drown out that excessive office background noise? One solution is the Acoustic Privacy Panel by UPLIFT Desk.

The Acoustic Privacy Panel is basically what it sounds like. It’s a panel that attaches to your desktop surface, providing privacy and minimizing background noise. You can employ one panel to give yourself a partition, or you can use up to three panels to give you complete privacy at your desk. Each panel is .6” thick and made out of a dense polyester fiber board, muffling background noise and reducing your sound-related distractions. It’s also great for tacking on notes, paper crafts, and pictures of your chinchilla, whatever floats your boat and makes the space feel like it’s yours.

The best part about the UPLIFT Acoustic Privacy Panel is that it doesn’t necessarily have to be used with an UPLIFT Desk. The panels mount via two clamps that can install on to the side of almost any size desk, as long as the thickness of your desk doesn't exceed 1.75". Should your desktop exceed that thickness you could employ the use of the Desktop Acoustic Privacy Holder which just sits flat on your desktop surface and functions a little bit like a document holder. Only that document is your Acoustic Privacy Panel. You even get a choice of size and color. We have gray, dark gray, and blue. Which is a lot like gray, except that it’s not at all like gray. The panels come in 40”, 52”, 64”, and 72” for the back of your desk and 22” for the sides which will fit most standard desk sizes.

So, while you could build a fort, indefinitely claim a conference room, or some other such ridiculous thing, the Acoustic Privacy Panel is probably going to be the simplest solution at the best price.
